Milton, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Ms. Vanessa Wilson Chriscoe of Milton, NC, who passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022; at SOVAH Health in Danville, VA.
She was the daughter of the late Daniel Wilson and Alice Jefferies Wilson, born February 14, 1957, in Person County, North Carolina.
Vanessa graduated from Bartlett Yancey Senior High School in Yanceyville, NC (Class of 1975) and she continued her education at Winston-Salem State University, where she received her degree in Education. After teaching for many years, she retired from the Caswell County and Danville School Systems.
She was a former member of New Zion Baptist Church in Milton, NC., and later became a member of East New Hope Baptist Church in Danville, VA; where Vanessa was served as an Usher and on the Hospitality Committee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Chriscoe.
Ms. Vanessa Wilson Chriscoe leaves to cherish her memories to her son, Kelvin Sellars of Winston-Salem, NC; her daughter, Anita Chriscoe of Danville, VA; her stepdaughter, Toni Sellars (Henry Watlington) of Yanceyville, NC; her sister, Wanda Wilson of Milton, NC; her three brothers, Jerome Wilson (Lucinda) of Danville, VA, Charlie Wilson of Los Angeles, California, and Keith Wilson of Milton, NC; her five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and many cherished friends.
A viewing for Ms. Vanessa Wilson Chriscoe will be Wednesday, January 04, 2023; from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral.
Funeral Services for Ms. Vanessa Wilson Chriscoe will be Thursday, January 05, 2023; at 1:00pm at East New Hope Baptist Church in Danville, VA.
Interment will follow at Macedonia AME Church Cemetery, in Milton, NC.
