Victoria Maria Alston

Burlington, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Miss Victoria Maria Alston 27, of 2163 Shady Lane Burlington, NC, who passed away Friday, September 3, 2021 in the Alamance Regional Medical Center, Burlington, NC after a long, well fought battle with cancer, Victoria went home to be with the Lord.

Victoria was a light in this world. She brought laughter and joy wherever she went. She never met a stranger and if you met her, you loved her. She will be greatly missed, but she is now free of pain, sickness and sorrow.

Victoria was a native of Alamance County and was born to Lorenzo and Chezette Watlington Alston on September 20, 1993

Victoria was a member of New Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church and was an amazing singer in both the Mass Choir and Youth Choir before her sickness. She was a 2011 graduate of Eastern Alamance High School and a 2013 graduate of Alamance Community College's Culinary Arts Program. She loved cooking for herself, but most of all for other people.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James and Lula Briggs and Donnell Alston; maternal grandfather, Rudolph Watlington; great grandmothers, Mary Jones and Hattie Lou Sellars.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her parents Lorenzo K. Alston and Chezette W. Alston of Burlington, NC; sister, Brianca S. Alston of Durham, NC; grandmother, Jane J. Watlington of Mebane, NC; a host of aunts; uncles; cousins and friends.

Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 4 p.m to 7 p.m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home (Facial Masks are required).

Funeral Services for Miss Victoria Maria Alston will be Thursday, September 9, 2021, 12:00 O’clock at New Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church Parking Lot.  Pastor E. Lamar Boykin will deliver the words of comfort.
