Milton, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Wallace “Key” Morris Pyles formerly of 611 Snatchburg Road, Milton, NC. He passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Yanceyville Rehabilitation Center in Yanceyville, NC.
Wallace was the son of the late Walter Harell Pyles, and Charlotte Faulkner Pyles, born February 14, 1940, in Caswell County, North Carolina.
Key was a member of Oak Level AME Church in Milton, North Carolina. He attended the Caswell County Public School System. Before his retirement, Key was a machine operator for a Mobile Home Park Construction Company in Roxboro, North Carolina. His favorite pastimes were working or tingling on things, especially cars, listening to gospel music, and playing his lead guitar. In the 70’s he was a lead guitar player with a gospel group named the “Golden Clouds.” Later on, Key sang and played with the “Silver Stars.”
In addition to his parents, Key was preceded in death by his sister, Delois Hughes; two brothers, Joe Pyles and Walter Pyles, (Pippy).
Mr. Wallace “Key” Morris Pyles will forever hold a special place in the hearts of many, those left to cherish his legacy and precious memories to his spouse, Louise Allen Pyles of New York; one daughter, Andrea Woods of Ringgold Virginia; three sons, David Pyles (Lutricia) of Blanch, North Carolina, Julius Pyles (Robin) of Durham, North Carolina, and Bobby Allen of Newburgh, New York; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Charlotte Moore of Milton, North Carolina; two brothers, Jessie Wayne Pyles, and Bobby Pyles (Thelma) all of Milton North Carolina; and host of nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
The family is accepting visitors at 1269 High Rock School Road, Blanch, NC.
Public viewing for Mr. Wallace “Key” Morris Pyles will be on Thursday, May 23, 2024; from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
Funeral Services for Mr. Wallace “Key” Morris Pyles will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024; in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Oak Level AME Church Cemetery, 722 Snatchburg Road, in Milton, NC 27305.
