William Henry Richmond

Roxboro, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. William Henry Richmond of  87 Landmark North Roxboro, North Carolina, who passed away Monday, July 31, 2023, at Roxboro Health Care Center, in Roxboro, North Carolina.

Being a native of Caswell County, North Carolina William was the son of the late Leroy Richmond and Evangelist Clara Mae McCain Richmond, born July 24, 1946.

William was a veteran of the United State Army, having received an honorable discharge. He later became an employee of the Washington DC Transit as a bus driver prior to his retirement.

He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Semora, North Carolina; where he was an usher.  William’s favorite pastime was engaging with electronics of any kind whether it be computers, and/or cameras.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Ann Richmond Walker.

Mr. William Henry Richmond, leaves to cherish his memories are his wife, Jurine Henderson Richmond of the home; two sons, William Richmond Jr. (Daniele) of Jefferson, Maryland, and Lamont Nowlin (Normita) of Urbana, Maryland; two daughters, Michele Baker (James) of Marietta, Georgia, and Tisha Lindsey (Darryl) of Frederick, Maryland; five brothers, Robert Richmond of Hyattsville, Maryland, Nathaniel Richmond (Malinda) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Minister Harvey Richmond (Minister Carolyn) of   Milton, North Carolina, Tom Richmond (Christine) and Donnell Richmond (Simone) all of Greensboro, North Carolina; two sisters, Rosa Harrell (George) of Hyattsville, Maryland, and Betty Thaxton (George) of Blanch, North Carolina; thirteen grandchildren; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be Saturday, August 05, 2023; from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home. 

Funeral Services for Mr. William Henry Richmond will be Sunday,  August 06, 2023; at 1:00 p.m.  Family will be arriving 12:30 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Semora, NC. Pastor P.D. Medley will deliver the words of comfort.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Rites.
