Durham, NC - It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Ms. Yvonne Jackson Watlington of 1001 Rudy Street, Durham, NC who passed away January 26, 2023 at Duke University Hospital Durham, NC.
Yvonne was the daughter of the late Edward Lester Jackson and Muzet Wilkerson Jackson, born October 12, 1952 in Danville, VA. She was a member of Hamer Baptist Church and later became a member of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She was a homemaker and worked at a nursing home in Durham, NC, before she became disabled.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Janet Jackson.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons; Marvin Watlington of Durham, NC and Maurice Watlington of Roxboro, NC, one daughter; Yvette Barnes of Durham, NC, one brother; Paul Jackson of Pelham, NC, one sister; Janet Jackson as well as 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A viewing will be Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023, from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM in the John & Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
